Cannabis
"Germinating" or "Germination" is the process of seeds developing into new plants. First, environmental conditions must trigger the seed to grow. Usually, this is determined by how deep the seed is planted, water availability, and temperature. When water is plentiful, the seed fills with water in a process called imbibition.
Take your targeted species of seed, whether it's for Veggies, Herbs, or Cannabis, and use this universal process to "pop" your seeds open, which is called "Germination".
1. Fill a small glass with room temp tap water
2. Take your desired species of seed and drop it into the glass of water
3. Tap each seed lightly until it slightly sinks into the cup, and then rises back up to the top.
4. Place cup with seeds in a room temperature dark place for no more than 24 hours.
5. After 24 hours, tap each seed and then collect the seeds that sink to the bottom.
6. Place seeds in a damp folded paper towel and check daily; adding water as needed.
7. After a total of 3 days, seeds should begin sprouting their "taproots" and be ready for planting.
